I consider myself a generalist, meaning that I work with a wide variety of psychological problems. I also have a number of specialty areas that I am particularly passionate about working with. One of these is my interest in treating perfectionism - which is largely inspired by my dissertation on perfectionism and identity and the many ways that perfectionistic messages show up in our society. Another is my passion for working with people who moved frequently as children, as I also moved frequently as a child and immigrated to multiple countries with my parents. I have written articles about some of my specialty areas, you can find those linked below:

  • Chronic depression
  • Perfectionism
  • Impostor syndrome
  • Shyness
  • Children who've frequently moved
  • Life transitions/immigration
  • Adult children of alcoholics or narcissists
  • Trauma/complex trauma
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Failure to launch
  • Chronic pain
